Davide Bedetti and Timea Vitez established YogaMea School in 2013 to conduct Yoga Retreats and Teacher Training courses in Italy and India. We collaborate with a Rishikesh Mother School, with the support of Starlim India, a Yoga agency. YogaMea School’s 200-Hour intensive Hatha Yoga Teacher Training programs in Italy are heavily sought after by yoga enthusiasts from all over the world who are committed to becoming yoga instructors.
With over thirty-five courses completed over the last six years in Italy, Rishikesh and Goa, India, YogaMea School has had a wonderful experience. We at YogaMea School feel fortunate to have the support of our colleagues and friends in Rishikesh.
Often referred to as the birthplace of Yoga, Rishikesh is the premiere destination for thousands of Yoga enthusiasts who are eager to experience this noble, ancient discipline. Rishikesh is located in north India between the Ganga River and in the foothills of the Himalayan mountain range, and offers a variety of yoga teacher training programs: RYS 200, RYS 300, and RYS 500 hours. This is where YogaMea School found its beginning…we dreamed of bringing life-changing programs to others. Staying true to the authentic essence of Yoga as close to what was taught by the ancient Mystics of ancient India. Our intention is to share a similar genuine, traditional feel of the birthplace of Yoga by delivering similar styles of teaching to those in place in India, particularly, Hatha Yoga.
With more than 10,000 teaching hours and over 25 years of experience, Timea Vitez is recognized as an HR – RYTT (Highly Recommended Registered Yoga Teacher Trainer). Together with the support of staff, Davide has over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, and they are committed and driven to ensure our students experience a gratifying, effective and structured stay.
The key members of YogaMea School’s staff are yoga professionals who are established in custom, yet contemporary in their vision and in how they convey information. Our expertise in extracting the principles of yogic discernment into clear and basic lessons that can be easily understood and implemented in daily life leads to how our students view us through a lens of respect, love and continued patronage. This overwhelming response is encouraging verification of the effectiveness of this technique.
The basic knowledge of English is enough to understand and participate in the training. Your teachers will assist you during the extra time if required, so that you may better understand the sessions.
YogaMea School’s goal was, and still is, to bring to Europe a workable alternative to those who can’t, or don’t necessarily want to visit the foothills of the Himalayas. YogaMea School promises the same level of attention and quality for the teaching and training of its students, offering the same benefits as would be obtained in Rishikesh. Our vision is to spread the awareness of holistic living under the guidance of Vedic wisdom through Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda.
Twenty years ago I had a life-changing car accident. My cervical spine and knee were damaged. Instead of opting for medicine and going to the hospital, I started practicing yoga. Nothing in life is a coincidence. Everything happens for a reason. I believe the car accident happened for me to move towards yoga. - Timea Vitez
After a debilitating accident over 20 years ago, Timea discovered yoga as a way to heal. She successfully healed from her injuries and began a lifetime dedication to yoga, traveling to India to immerse herself in the studies which formed the foundation of her vast teaching experience.
She has since established YogaMea School in 2013 and taught in India, Italy and Bucharest. Her passion for sharing her knowledge of Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hatha yoga to new and experienced yoga practitioners is infectious.
As a result, in addition to being loved and well-respected in the yoga community, she has been referred to as one of the best international yoga teachers.
Narendra is a resident yoga experts at RYP. He did his M.A in Yoga Science from Sanskrit Gurukul Vishvidyalaya, Haridwar, India. He has spent time in Mysore, India developing his knowledge of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga.
He is also trained in Vedic Astrology and Vedanta under Swami Maheshananda Saraswati in Rishikesh and is an initiate of the Udaseen lineage.
Narendra is loved by his students for his dynamic style and precise adjustments that add a new dimension to their asana practice.
My spiritual journey started very early, but I wasn't even aware of it! I was born into a family that promoted being aligned with yourself as being the best way of living life.
But it took time to work out what this means to me!
When you are a kid it is hard to figure out the difference between the mind and the self, right? Yoga gave me this understanding about how my mind works, how I can deal with my fears and then free myself from them to really live this life rather than just surviving it!
Taichi was my first real practice and passion in 2009 with Sebastian Lee in Geneva, Switzerland. Seb helped me to enter the holistic dimension of a physical practice and I thank him for his part in starting this journey! At the same time I was following Barbara Brennan School of Healing (BBSH) in Miami(USA) for 2 years and Bad ischl (Austria) for one year.
This course gave me a deep understanding of human trauma, family and society conditionings as well as the therapeutic way to help using this understanding of the human energetic field. 2012 was my first major trip to China to train my mental and physical strength in a Shaolin kung-fu school as well as deepening my Taichi practice in the Wudang mountains and in Beijing with the master Wang Laoshi. I came back in 2015 where I met Emilie Tasté, one of the founders of the Centre des thérapie naturelles d'Antibes (CTN-Antibes, Antibes, France) and they wanted me to teach Taichi, some physical activities and Yoga. As I wasn't a yoga teacher yet I started following classes that built on my extensive training and I started teaching beginner classes with all the knowledge I already had. I followed a yoga and meditation teacher training and got certified by Jacques Vignes. My practice grew up through my 3 years of teaching and I started feeling the need to go away to learn more and deepen my Yoga knowledge. I consolidated my training in 2018 when I went to Rishikesh to follow a 500hrs advanced teacher training. Right after, I had the opportunity to teach Yoga for a month in Pokhara (Nepal) at the Sadhana Yoga retreat. I realised I was really interested by the therapeutic way of Yoga which makes more sense to me so I decided to go to Chennai (India) to follow a 300hrs Yoga Therapy teacher training focusing on therapeutic Yoga. I love pushing my mind and my body and enabling others to find their way into the incredible journey that Yoga can be!
YogaMea School believes in creating a community where students can always come back to teach and create their own workshops. YogaMea School has come to understand that students appreciate this traditional “back to basics” approach. It puts them in touch with what their students will need for their future teaching experiences and helps our students understand how to adapt and cater to the different experience levels found in a group during a course.
YogaMea is a community-oriented school, with students from all walks of life: From seniors citizens to military personnel; from professional athletes to soccer moms; from corporate executives to college students; and from grade school teachers to professors. We go to great lengths to create a friendly, non-intimidating environment for everyone who is curious about the transformative benefits a yoga practice can afford. Furthermore, we love helping beginners explore their yoga journey.
